It is a great honor to welcome you to the 16th Annual Governor’s Education Summit™–Education Destination: First Steps to First Career.

The co-hosts, the Michigan Department of Education, the Education Alliance of Michigan and the Michigan Foundation for Education Leadership, have joined their experience and expertise to bring you a comprehensive day exploring strong issues in education.

This year’s summit brings changes including a new Governor, Rick Snyder. The breakout sessions have been expanded to include more topics.The quality and breadth of content contained in this year’s submissions challenged the Steering Committee as we selected presentations from a record number of submissions.
